The AKAI PMS project

8 January 2025 · by Interlogica

For the second time, Interlogica has been awarded funding under Call A1.3.1 of the Friuli Venezia Giulia Region, an initiative that promotes innovation through non-repayable grants for Proof of Concept (PoC) projects.

The call aims to make the most of the results of previous research and development activities, encouraging the technological progress of companies, universities and research centres in the region.

The funding is aimed at projects able to raise the technology readiness level (TRL) of innovative solutions, helping them move from idea to concrete application.

Interlogica obtained funding for the AKAI PMS project, a software application dedicated to the digitalisation of the open-air tourism sector. Its goal is to give accommodation facilities a digital tool that limits manual work and lets them run their operations in a complete, automated way.

Purpose of the project:
The AKAI application is intended to be an ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system dedicated to the hospitality sector and, in particular, to open-air tourist facilities.
This type of application is also known by the acronym PMS (Property Management System).
The system aims to manage the entire business process: from the moment guests select and book a given type of accommodation for a given period, through check-in and paid extra services during the stay, to final invoicing and check-out.

It is a “hybrid” SaaS (Software as a Service) product: operators can use the product “as is” or request process customisations for the individual needs of their facility.

Expected results:
Building AKAI for the open-air sector is a strategic step for Interlogica in its evolution from a provider of custom-made services to a product company.
This transformation reflects companies’ growing need for digitalisation, making their path to innovation easier.
