A GEEK TREASURE HUNT WHERE INFORMATION IS DIGITALIZED, AND THE CODE IS AN ALGORITHM.
“Capture the flag | Alice adventures in Riddlesland” is an online competition based on encryption, open to everyone, that precedes and is placed side by side with Code in the Dark, a coding contest that will take place on September the 14th in ARGO16 space (former airspace) in Via delle Industrie in Marghera-Venice.
The competition, organized by experienced programmers of Interlogica, is addressed to everyone who intends to have fun with cryptography, a fascinating mathematical science that is having concrete implications in the life of each one of us. It is a competition in a competition based on 3 enigmas in total. Every enigma hides a clue that leads to the following one. The first one who is able to find the magic word, by solving every challenge, is declared the winner.
#FollowAlice is a story that keeps fascinating with the crescendo of mathematical games, enigmas, and talking animals.
Everything starts with some verses; is one of the clues hiding behind one of these words?
ALICE was beginning to get very tired of
sitting at her computer, and of having
nothing to do: once or twice she had peeped into
the code she had to develop, but it had no
colors or indentation in it, “and what is
the use of a code,” thought Alice, “ without
colors or indentation ?”
Alice’s looking-glass accompanies the competitors through a story divided into chapters, where the Happy Ending is the final solution.
The contest “Capture the Flag | Alice’s adventures in Riddlesland”, that establish an award for the first 5 “discoverers”, has the purpose to create a fun competition that stimulates the creativity and the lateral thinking of its participants.
